A little trip to Dubai Butterfly Garden
What a beautiful morning it was for me and the kiddos. We have been meaning to go to Dubai Butterfly Garden for ages and finally got a chance to go this morning. What an amazing place!!! If you are living in Dubai with little kids, or visiting you should definitely go check it out.
It is apparently the world's largest butterfly garden with 15,000 butterflies of 26 kinds. There are 4 different areas in the indoor gardens and in each, they have little domes in which you can go inside and expect butterflies to land on you. My 2 kids absolutely adored this morning's outing- as did I and I can't wait to go back (especially with visitors). I honestly haven't seen anything quite like what we did this morning.
What I also loved from a teacher's standpoint was the nice learning opportunity for kiddos. Some assistants showed how the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. They showed examples of what a chrysalis looks like. They also let Livi hold a butterfly that had recently emerged from the chrysalis and was still learning how to fly. Ben being only 1, also had an incredible time and couldn't stop smiling and giggling. Of course Livi was in her element as well, chasing after butterflies in an atmosphere that looked like a magic garden. Very cool!
Here are some photos from the exciting morning
Happy travels XOXO
